New Year Eve Celebrations

Well, it is the time of the year when we have to say farewell to 2009.

Looking back at the events for the year 2009 both at home and abroad. Here are some of the events:

o King of Pop passed away unexpectedly on 25/06/09 just the time when he was supposed to make a comeback;
o the passing of the baton from Abdullah to Najib who took over the premiership;
o tiger woods sex scandal;
o mysterious death of Teoh Beng Hock. The case is pending further investigation;
o Lee Chong Wai did Malaysia proud by capturing Hong Kong Open Title;
o H1N1 flu outbreak.

Today a colleague of mine was asking me this question `What was/were the worst encounters with the customers in year 2009?' To that, I actually have something to add on. The incidence of the bad encounter can be viewed positively if we will to learn from the experience. It will be a mileage moving forward. A case of turning the negative to the positive. Of course, no one like encounters of this nature, however we have to accept it in good faith and learn from it. By doing so, we are one step ahead of the customer(s).

Looking back at the bad experiences, we should also review the good ones as well. Lee Chong Wai did Malaysia proud, well that was the good event for the year. In the same light, we have to look at positive things as well such as having a good customer, good colleagues etc.

Today is the day when the countdown begins. I do not have any plans at the moment. I may be counting down at home, watching the fireworks display from television.

There are a lot of programmes lined up for the revellers to welcome the year 2010. Whatever it is, let hope we will start the new year with a big bang and a better year than 2009.

Happy New Year 2010.

New Blogger

I am a new kid on board. I have been advised by 2 friends of mine to blog. The first friend is my colleague who was attending a tea talk one evening. I noticed that she has been diligently taking down the notes and I inquired as to why she did that. She said that she needed to post to her blog the information that she acquired at the tea talk. She gave me pointers as how I will get myself register as a blogger. I as usual did not register for the pure reason of procrastinating.

The 2nd friend of mine has successfully blogged and she has even awards. She has been a source of inspiration and encouragement when she even gave me the steps of doing so. I have been asking her over and over again. This time around I should not be putting this off as this friend of mine has done it even when she is computer iliterate. She can do it, so can I with her assistance.

That is no better time than now. (opportune time).

We have to say farewell to 2009 and welcome 2010. We have to reflect on 2009 particularly on any achievements. Well, whatever it is we have to welcome 2010 with new hope and aspirations. Any new year resolutions. Well I do not make them as I do not keep them. However a word of advice for keeping new year resolutions, document them and refer to them constantly for the progress. In this way, it helps to make sure the resolutions are on mark.

Anyway, happy new year 2010.
