IP Man 2 is the much anticipated movie for 2010. I have missed IP Man movie which has earned a reputation of a good movie. I told myself I would not miss IP Man 2 this time.
Following the sucess of IP Man, the movie proceeded with IP Man fleeing from Fusan to Hongkong. Donnie Yen as the wing chun master in IP Man 2 is a peace loving man and he has to face the harsh realities of life. He has to be accepted by the local kung fu practitioners to set up his school to spread the wing chun style.
However his real opponent was not the local kung fu practitioners but a western boxer by the name of Twister. Twister has no respect for Chinese martial arts let alone the practitioners.
Naturally when all else fail, IP Man rises to the challenge of facing his opponent in a western/chinese boxing competition. At one stage of time, IP Man was refrained from using his legs. IP Man managed to claim back the dignity of the chinese.
A movie worth viewing.
IP Man 2 is indeed a great movie. Donnie Yen is my favourite actor.
